ILS offers telecommunications satellite launch services in the world market, using the Atlas launch vehicle family (manufactured by Lockheed-Martin, a U.S. company) or the Proton LV, the Proton M LV or the Angara LV families (manufactured by the Khrunichev Space Center, a Russian company).
ILS is a corporation registered in the State of Delaware, the United States with its stock equally shared by Lockheed-Martin Commercial Launch Services responsible for the Atlas business and Lockheed-Khrunichev-Energia International (LKE) responsible for the Proton/Angara business.
With its offering of the two most reliable launch systems in the world having an overall flight history of more than 70 years and a total of more than 850 missions, ILS is the world top launch services provider.
As of today the reliability of both Proton and Angara exceeds 96 percent.
Atlas/Proton interchangeability allowing the customer to switch over from one of the two options to the other gives ILS a unique advantage over the other international launch services providers. Complemented with a high injection accuracy characteristic of the two launch vehicles this advantage allows ILS to meet the customer's needs in the best possible way while mitigating the risks and guaranteeing the achievement of the mission's goals.
